Health Care Administration

Are you currently employed in the health care field and looking to advance your career? Have you moved into a new role that requires effective leadership and management skills? Plymouth State University's new Health Care Administration certificate program addresses these critical issues and more; issues which challenge today's health care professionals.The certificate program consists of four courses designed and taught by leaders in the health care industry. For students interested in earning an MBA degree, the four health care administration courses, plus an additional six graduate business courses can be applied towards a full MBA degree.


Required Courses for a Certificate:

BU 5410: Human Resources in Health Care Administration - 3 credits
BU 5420: Health Care Laws and Ethics - 3 credits
BU 5430: Health Care Administration and Financial Management - 3 credits
BU 5490: Capstone: Health Care Topics - 3 credits

Total for Certificate Concentration: 12 credits


For an MBA degree, add (four required, plus two electives - 30 Credits total):

BU 5190: Accounting for Managers (required)
BU 5210: Strategies for Cross-Functional Analysis (required)
BU 5510: Operations Management (required)
BU 5700: Marketing Techniques (required)
